Christianity is a lifestyle
not just a decision
we make at some point in our life. Because its a way of life,
it is normal to grow and mature in your faith. In the same way it
would be strange for an infant to stay at that maturity level for
five years, it is abnormal for a Christian to stay in the same place
spiritually for a length of time. While we may need to learn what
to do to help us grow, growing comes naturally over time if we discipline
ourselves to do what it takes.
Doing what it takes to grow is a skill that is developed
over a lifetime. If you are getting started in your faith, don't
be overwhelmed. Ask for God's help and start simple; don't try to
master everything at once, or you're likely to wear yourself out
and get discouraged. This section address various areas and ways
to grow so that we continue to mature into a healthy, balanced Christian.
